Marymount International School Rome is a private, Catholic, co-educational day school located on a 40-acre campus of protected parkland just 25 minutes north of the city center. An English-language Pre-K through 12th Grade American curriculum is complemented by the School’s longstanding International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (since 1985), and a wide range of extracurricular activities both on and off-campus, including visits to Rome’s famous attractions and both national and international traveling.
The School was founded in 1946 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM), and welcomes students of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds and faiths. Marymount seeks to guide students towards the achievement of their full potential by empowering them to think creatively, reason critically, communicate effectively and learn continuously. The School strives to develop students who are capable, honest, and respectful, and who are prepared both academically and spiritually to be lifelong learners and leaders of tomorrow.
As part of the mission of the RSHM, a Marymount student should desire to celebrate God’s love, respond generously to the needs of our world, and promote justice and dignity for all.
